This item is made of hardwood and measures almost 5ft x 7ft in its greatest width and height. The configuration is rectangular, has angels on its four corners and adoring angels on its top. The central figure is the crucified Christ, to the left is Mary Magdalene and to the right is the Virgin Mary and unusually a saint with a staff attributed to St. Joseph which may be a mistaken identity since we know that St. Joseph died before the crucifixion. He may also be attributed to St. John. This is a magnificent tableau and a great curiosity from the 19th century whose probable provenance is from Bohol.
