STO. NIÑO DORMIDO (The Sleeping Sto. Niño)

This is a sleeping Sto.Niño. It is made of plaster of Paris (escayola) and is encased in an urna or wooden house which is made of wood and has a door. This comes as one of the different manifestations of the child Jesus. This item comes from Manila and is a relic of the 1920’s. The Sto. Niño sleeps as if in repose and rest from the world’s worries.
